Relationships
While I do not offer couples therapy, I do help individuals who want to work on improving their relationships. You may want help with something related to your romantic partner or other relationships, such as family members, friends or co-workers. You may have noticed that certain patterns seem to repeat over and over again, and you want to try to figure out what causes these patterns and how to change them.

You may not be able to work on a specific relationship directly with the other person involved for many reasons. The other person may not be able or willing to work on things with you, or you may not feel ready to try talking to them. Perhaps you have tried to talk with them, but it hasn’t helped. There may be secrets in the relationship, or one person may have hurt the other. You may not be sure if you want to stay in the relationship. I can help you explore the issue and figure out what you want to do and how to talk with the other person about it, if appropriate.
Perhaps your difficulty is with relationships in general. You may want to have more friends or meet a romantic partner but don’t know how to go about doing that. Talking with and getting to know new people may cause anxiety for you, or you may not feel confident that other people will like you. You may want to be better able to talk about your feelings and needs with others or learn how to set healthy boundaries and engage in good self-care within relationships. These are all things I can help you work on in therapy.
