Ongoing Therapy
I offer different options for therapy: ongoing therapy, therapy intensives and adjunctive DBR. If needed, I can help you decide which style of therapy is the best fit for you. Please use these links for information about therapy intensives and adjunctive DBR or keep reading on this page for information about ongoing therapy.
Are We a Good Fit?
Please use the following links to learn about me, what issues I typically work with in therapy, my approach, the types of therapy I use and virtual therapy. Consider if the things I work with and the ways I work with them feel like a good fit for what you want to work on and what you’re looking for in a therapist. If you think we might be a good fit, I look forward to talk more about it when you’re ready.
• About Me

Session Length & Frequency
For ongoing individual therapy, I typically start out meeting with clients for 90 minutes about twice a month. The two sessions might be two weeks in a row or might have a week or two in between them, depending on both of our availability. This might seem strange if you’re used to the traditional way of doing therapy, which usually involves meeting for 50 minutes once a week. There are many benefits of this format, however, including the following.
• Some of the therapies I use were originally designed for 90-minute sessions. While they can also work in 50-minute sessions, having more time per session seems to work better for many clients.
• While the total time in a 90-minute session is 10 minutes less than two 50-minute sessions, we’re often able to get done what feels more like three or four sessions’ worth of work (in part because there are fewer check-ins and wrap-ups).
• As a result, clients often feel like they make faster progress even if we’re not meeting as often.
• Although a 90-minute session costs more than a 50-minute session, being able to meet less frequently and still do as much work or more means you may end up spending less money overall. (See more about this below.)
Other Options
For clients who have completed a therapy intensive with me or clients who I have been working with for a while, we might use a different format based on your preference and what’s clinically appropriate. To give a few examples, we might do:
• One 90-minute session per month,
• Two or three 90-minute sessions in one day, once every four to eight weeks,
• Two to four 90-minute sessions all in one week, once every four to eight weeks, or
• Whatever else we agree on together!
Current Fees
My current fee for a 90-minute session is $315. As noted above, even though this is more than you would pay for a 50-minute session, it may actually save you money. For example, when I used to offer 50-minute sessions, my rate was $175 per session. The cost of four to five 50-minute sessions per month at $175 per session was $700-$875 per month, whereas the cost of two 90-minute sessions per month at $315 per session is only $630 per month.
Cancellation Policy
You must provide 48 hours’ notice of a cancellation to avoid being charged.
